Higgsfield Nano Banana Pro is Google’s Gemini 3 Pro Image model. A 2K image costs 2 credits (about $0.10); a 4K image costs 4 credits (about $0.20), checked 6 Nov 2026. It is the strongest choice on Higgsfield for photorealistic images and readable text, and on Plus and Ultra it is unlimited at 2K for 7 days.

Best for: Photorealistic images, posters and packaging with readable text, product edits and multi-reference scenes.

Not for: A recurring face across a series of images, or anyone on Starter who wants unlimited generations.

Starting price: $19/mo (Starter, checked 6 Nov 2026) — see the full plan comparison.

What is Higgsfield Nano Banana Pro?

Nano Banana Pro is Google’s flagship image generation model, technically known as Gemini 3 Pro Image. On Higgsfield it works less like a traditional image generator and more like an art director: it reads a prompt for meaning, physics and spatial relationships before it renders anything. The result is a photorealistic image with accurate text, rendered at native 2K and upscaled to 4K through a 16-bit color pipeline.

It sits in the image section of Higgsfield’s model lineup alongside GPT Image 2.6, Flux 2, Ideogram, Flux Kontext, Seedream 4.5 and Infinite You. The family also includes two siblings: Nano Banana 2, which runs on the Gemini 3.1 Flash reasoning engine and trades some quality for speed, and Nano Banana 2 Lite, a lighter and faster version. The “Pro” is the step up from the standard Nano Banana.

How much does Nano Banana Pro cost?

A Nano Banana Pro image costs 2 credits at 2K and 4 credits at 4K on the official pricing page, checked 6 Nov 2026. In dollars that is about $0.10 per image at 2K and about $0.20 per image at 4K. The 4K version costs twice as much because the model runs the 16-bit upscale to 4K.

ResolutionCredits per imageCost per image
2K2About $0.10
4K4About $0.20

Starter costs $19/mo (checked 6 Nov 2026) and includes 270 credits a month, which buys 135 images at 2K or 67 at 4K. Plus costs $59/mo or $47/mo billed yearly (checked 6 Nov 2026) and includes 1,200 credits, which buys 600 images at 2K or 300 at 4K. Ultra costs $129/mo or $99/mo billed yearly (checked 6 Nov 2026) and includes 3,000 credits, which buys 1,500 images at 2K or 750 at 4K. The Free plan costs $0 and includes 0 credits, so it cannot generate Nano Banana Pro images at all. Our credits guide explains how the same credits work across video and image models.

Two rules shape the real cost. Subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over, so images you do not generate in a month are lost. If you run out mid-month, a credits pack is a one-time purchase that is added instantly and works across all models, but no pack sizes or prices are published on the public pricing page.

How to use Nano Banana Pro in 3 steps

Using Nano Banana Pro takes three steps, and only the last one costs credits. The official intro page lists the same three steps.

Step 1: Open the Image section in Higgsfield and pick Nano Banana Pro. This costs 0 credits. Choosing the model is free; the charge only happens when an image is generated.

Step 2: Upload a reference image, or write the prompt. This costs 0 credits. A reference image is optional, and it guides the look, the character or the environment. In the prompt, name the subject, the setting, the lighting and the mood. The model understands physics, lighting and the emotional intent of a scene, so a prompt that names those things works better than one that only names the subject.

Step 3: Generate the image at 2K, then download it. This costs 2 credits at 2K or 4 credits at 4K. Test the composition at 2K first: a 2-credit generation shows whether the layout, the pose and the text are right before you pay double for 4K. Re-running a prompt spends credits again, so tighten the prompt before you run it rather than after. When the image is right, download the production-grade file from the same screen.

Nano Banana Pro vs Nano Banana 2

Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 are the same family with different priorities. Pro is built for maximum reasoning depth, fine typography and the highest quality ceiling, and it is the right choice when quality matters more than speed. Nano Banana 2 brings most of those capabilities to Flash-level speed at a lower cost per generation. The suggested workflow is tiered: Banana 2 to explore, Pro to finalize.

SpeedSlower, built for qualityComplex scenes in under 10 seconds
Best forFinal images, fine print, packagingPrototyping, batches, social content

The practical difference is what you are paying for. Nano Banana 2 generates from 512px up to 4K across several aspect ratios, and the official page says it generates complex scenes in under 10 seconds while holding 95% character identity. Pro renders natively at 2K and uses the 16-bit pipeline for the 4K upscale, which is where the richer gradients come from. Ten variations of a social post today means Nano Banana 2; one hero image for a product page means Pro.

What Nano Banana Pro is best at

Photorealistic images

Nano Banana Pro is the strongest photorealistic model on Higgsfield. The reasoning backbone plans a scene before it renders it, so faces, hands, objects and light behave the way they do in a real photo instead of the way a pattern-matching generator guesses. That is why you pick Pro when the image has to look like a photograph.

Text inside an image

Text is where Nano Banana Pro earns its price. Posters, UI mockups, logos, packaging and slides all need words a viewer can read, and Pro renders them legibly where other models misspell or scramble them. The same applies to infographics, dashboard mockups and presentation slides, which come out with accurate text instead of placeholder-looking lettering.

Editing an existing image

Nano Banana Pro is also an editor, not just a generator. On Higgsfield it powers Banana Placement for inserting a product into a scene, Nano Banana Pro Inpaint for structure-preserving local edits, and multi-reference composition for merging several reference images into one scene. Brush over an area, describe the change or upload a reference, and the model blends the change without disturbing the rest of the image.

When to use Soul 2.0 instead

Nano Banana Pro has one real weakness: a face drifts across a series of images. Generate the same person five times and the face changes a little each time, which breaks a character series, a brand mascot or a photo set that has to show the same person twice. Our Soul vs Nano Banana Pro comparison found the same split: Pro wins on photorealism, text and editing, while Soul 2.0 wins on keeping one face the same.

Soul 2.0 is built for that job. It holds one face consistent across generations, it saves a person’s face as a reusable Soul ID, and it offers face direction controls for front, three-quarter and profile views. It also costs a fraction of a credit per image, far less than Nano Banana Pro’s 2 credits, and paid plans include free Soul 2.0 generations: 300 a month on Starter, 5,000 on Plus and 10,000 on Ultra, checked 6 Nov 2026. Test the composition on Pro for 2 credits first, then run the same prompt on Soul 2.0 to hold the face.

Nano Banana Pro vs the other image models

Pro is not the only image model on Higgsfield. GPT Image 2.6 costs 3 credits per image, so a 2K Nano Banana Pro image costs one credit less, and Pro is the stronger choice for text; our GPT Image 2.6 guide covers that model in full. Seedream 5.0 Pro costs 2 credits per image, the same as Nano Banana Pro at 2K, and it sits in the same 7-day unlimited set on Plus and Ultra. Flux 2 costs 3 to 6 credits per image. Pick Pro for photorealism and text, Soul 2.0 for a recurring face.

Unlimited Nano Banana Pro: how the 7-day window works

Plus and Ultra include Nano Banana Pro at 2K unlimited for 7 days, checked 6 Nov 2026 on the official pricing page. Starter does not include it. Unlimited generations run in the standard queue and are accessible only through higgsfield.ai, not through MCP, CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer. When the 7 days end, each image costs 2 credits at 2K again. The base Nano Banana model, not Pro, is the one included in 365 Unlimited; our 365 Unlimited guide explains how that longer plan differs.

Who should NOT use it

Do not use Nano Banana Pro if you need the same face to appear across a series of images. Soul 2.0 holds a face steady and costs a fraction of a credit per image, so it is the better tool for characters and brand mascots. Do not use it on the Free plan, which has 0 credits and no generation access.

Pros

• Strongest photorealistic image model on Higgsfield.

• Readable text in posters, packaging, logos, UI mockups and slides, where most image models garble words.

• Only 2 credits per image at 2K: 135 images on Starter, 600 on Plus and 1,500 on Ultra each month.

Cons

• A 4K image costs 4 credits, double the 2K price, so 4K batches eat a plan fast.

• Faces drift across a series of images, so it cannot hold one character steady the way Soul 2.0 can.

• Subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.

Frequently asked questions

Is Nano Banana Pro free on Higgsfield?

No. The Free plan costs $0 and includes 0 credits, so it cannot generate Nano Banana Pro images. The cheapest way in is Starter at $19/mo (checked 6 Nov 2026), with 270 credits a month for 135 images at 2K.

How many credits does Nano Banana Pro cost per image?

It costs 2 credits per image at 2K and 4 credits per image at 4K, checked 6 Nov 2026 on the official pricing page. That is about $0.10 per image at 2K and about $0.20 at 4K. That buys 135 images a month on Starter, 600 on Plus and 1,500 on Ultra.

What is the difference between Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2?

Pro is Google’s Gemini 3 Pro Image model, built for maximum quality and fine typography, while Nano Banana 2 runs on Gemini 3.1 Flash and trades some quality for speed and a lower cost per generation. Higgsfield suggests exploring with Banana 2 and finalizing with Pro.

Can Nano Banana Pro keep the same face across images?

No. Faces drift a little with each generation, so a character series breaks after a few images. Use Soul 2.0 instead: it holds one face consistent and saves the face as a reusable Soul ID.

Is Nano Banana Pro unlimited on any plan?

Plus and Ultra include Nano Banana Pro at 2K unlimited for 7 days, checked 6 Nov 2026 on the official pricing page. Starter does not include it. When the 7 days end, each image costs 2 credits at 2K again.
