Yes. ElevenLabs offers Hindi text to speech with native-style Hindi voices on its official Hindi page, including Niraj, Bunty, Monika, Devi, and Raju, and a demo in Devanagari script (checked 5 Nov 2026). Hindi is in Multilingual v2, so v2, Flash v2.5, v3, and v4 are all options.

Best for: Hindi narration for video, lessons, audiobooks, and ads, where a named Hindi voice from the official page can carry a whole series.

Not for: unlimited free Hindi generation, because every plan bills per character and the Free plan stops at 10,000 credits a month.

Starting price: $0 (Free, 10,000 credits per month) (checked 5 Nov 2026); paid plans from $6 per month (checked 5 Nov 2026).

The Hindi page, and why it stands apart in this set

The Hindi page is the only page in this set of five that presents a Hindi voice roster by name. Its demo on 5 Nov 2026 ran in Devanagari script, with a counter beside it, and the sample carried the bracketed cues [sarcastically], [giggles], and [whispers]. The page speaks of over 600 million Hindi speakers, and it frames Hindi audio with the line about bringing Hindi to life, from Mumbai to Delhi, with desi accents and Bollywood energy. That framing tells you what the page is selling: lively, story-driven Hindi narration, not a flat reading voice.

The page also lists the same six uses seen on the other language pages — Agents, Podcasts, Audiobooks, Gaming, Video voiceovers, and Accessibility — but for Hindi those uses sit on a much larger voice base. The Hindi page presents over 1,000 voices in Hindi and 70-plus languages, and a separate Desi voices section. For a Hindi series, that depth matters: you can keep one voice for episode after episode, and you can still find a different voice when a new series needs a different tone.

A Hindi voice shortlist taken from the page itself

Start with the first page of Hindi voices shown on 5 Nov 2026. Niraj is listed as Romantic and Smooth, Bunty as Punchy, Crisp, and Reel King, Monika as Sogam, Calm, and Natural, Devi as Encouraging and Motivating, and Raju as Clear, Natural, and Warm. Those style words are the page’s own labels, and they are a better shortlist than a random browse: a calm narration voice and a punchy reel voice are not interchangeable, even when both speak Hindi well.

The Desi voices section adds a second shortlist: Aakash for Narration, Vikram for Educational, Vikrant for Educational, Krishna Gupta for Social Media, and Kali Devi for Narration. Use the first list for character and energy, and the second list for teaching and explanation. A lesson that needs a steady educational voice should start with Vikram or Vikrant, while a short social video should start with Krishna Gupta or Bunty. Test each candidate on the same Hindi paragraph, because a style label is a promise, not a proof.

The one language in this set that the older models already cover

Hindi, coded hi, is in the 29-language Multilingual v2 list from the 5 Nov 2026 model check, and Flash v2.5 covers those 29 plus Hungarian, Norwegian, and Vietnamese, so Hindi is in Flash v2.5 as well. That makes Hindi the exception in this set: for the other four languages in SET 48, the older lists do not apply, but for Hindi they do. The practical result is choice. A short, fast Hindi job can use Flash v2.5, a standard Hindi job can use Multilingual v2, and an expressive Hindi job that needs bracketed tags should use Eleven v3 or Eleven v4.

Tags follow the same rule as on the other pages: bracketed cues such as [whispers] belong to the v3 and v4 models, as set out in our emotion tags guide. If a tag is ignored on a Hindi script, check the model before blaming the tag. Our Multilingual V2 guide gives the full 29-language list and the 10,000-character request ceiling on that model, which is useful when a Hindi script is long enough to need splitting.

Writing Hindi that reads well aloud

Write Hindi in Devanagari script, as the demo itself is written, and keep sentences short. A short sentence gives the voice a clean place to pause, and a clean pause gives the listener a clean place to follow the idea. Spell out numbers in words when the number matters, because a bare year or amount can be read in more than one way, and the voice will pick one without asking. Use the danda and other punctuation marks to mark pauses, and read the script aloud once before generating, marking every place where your own voice naturally stops.

  1. Draft the Hindi script in Devanagari and proofread it away from ElevenLabs.
  2. Pick a model: v2 or Flash v2.5 for a plain job, v3 or v4 for a tagged job.
  3. Test Niraj, Monika, and Raju on the same paragraph and keep the clearest voice.
  4. Add one bracketed cue at a time and listen before adding a second cue.
  5. Generate in sections, listen to each section at normal speed, and regenerate only weak sections.

Hindi for video, lessons, and stories

For Hindi video narration, generate per section — intro, points, outro — so a re-take costs only the section, not the whole video. Keep a voice log with the voice name, model, and any tags used, so episode fifty matches episode one. For Hindi lessons, a steady educational voice from the Desi list, such as Vikram or Vikrant, will hold a class better than a punchy reel voice, because a lesson needs the listener to follow an argument, not to enjoy a performance. For Hindi stories and audiobooks, keep one voice for a whole book, give each chapter a spoken heading, and let pauses do the work of chapter breaks.

For Hindi agents and accessibility audio, the same rule about short sentences applies even more strongly. A listener who asks a spoken question cannot scan back over a long answer, so the first sentence should give the answer and later sentences should give the detail. For gaming and video voiceovers, write to the length of the scene: a line that runs past the animation looks unfinished, and a narration that runs past a scene change confuses the viewer.

Hindi prices and credit maths, checked 5 Nov 2026

Hindi has no separate price, and all prices are in USD. Free gives 10,000 credits a month at $0, Starter is $6 per month after a $1 first month shown until 8 Nov, Creator is $22 per month after an $11 first month, and Pro is $99 per month (all checked 5 Nov 2026). Our ElevenLabs pricing guide gives the full plan table, and our ElevenLabs languages guide explains how the 90-plus language total on v4 sits beside the smaller lists on older models.

PlanPrice (checked 5 Nov 2026)Credits per month
Free$010,000
Starter$1 first month, then $6 per month30,000
Creator$11 first month, then $22 per month121,000
Pro$99 per month600,000

At about one credit per character, a 5,000-character Hindi video script costs roughly 5,000 credits, and a 30,000-character audiobook section costs roughly 30,000 credits. That maths makes the Free plan a genuine test bed for short Hindi work, while a weekly Hindi channel will need Starter or Creator. Count characters before generating, including spaces and bracketed tags, and generate in sections so a mistake costs one section, not the whole book.

Limits that still apply to Hindi

  • A named Hindi voice is not a guarantee: preview it on your own script, because a voice that suits one topic may not suit another.
  • Numbers, abbreviations, and mixed script can be read inconsistently, so spell out the important ones.
  • Long Hindi sentences without pauses can sound flat, even from a strong voice.
  • Every regeneration costs credits again, so proofread before the first full generation.
  • Multilingual v2 requests are capped at 10,000 characters, so a long Hindi script must be split.

Pros

  • Named Hindi voices on the page, including Niraj, Bunty, Monika, Devi, and Raju.
  • A Desi voices section with narration, educational, and social media voices.
  • Hindi is in Multilingual v2 and Flash v2.5, as well as v3 and v4.
  • Devanagari script is accepted in the demo, with expressive bracketed cues.
  • Free plan at $0 with 10,000 credits a month (checked 5 Nov 2026) covers short tests.

Cons

  • Not every Hindi voice suits every topic, so previewing is required.
  • Numbers and abbreviations can be read inconsistently unless spelled out.
  • 10,000 free credits run out quickly on long Hindi content.
  • Multilingual v2 requests are capped at 10,000 characters per request.
  • Prices exclude taxes, so the checkout total can be higher than the listed USD price.

Who should NOT use ElevenLabs for Hindi

Skip ElevenLabs for Hindi if the job needs unlimited free generation, because every plan bills per character and even Pro is capped at 600,000 credits a month. Skip it also for a recording that must be certified as a human performance for legal or broadcast purposes, since a generated voice is not a certified human recording. A third case is a project that needs a single voice to be perfect on the first generation with no preview: Hindi voices vary by topic, and a project that cannot afford a short preview round will waste more credits on full generations than it saves on testing.

Frequently asked questions

Does ElevenLabs support Hindi text to speech?

Yes. The official Hindi page presents Hindi text to speech with a demo in Devanagari script, checked 5 Nov 2026. The page speaks of over 600 million Hindi speakers, and it lists agents, podcasts, audiobooks, gaming, video voiceovers, and accessibility as uses.

Which Hindi voices are shown on the official page?

The first Hindi page shown on 5 Nov 2026 lists Niraj, Bunty, Monika, Devi, and Raju, with style labels such as Romantic, Smooth, Punchy, Crisp, Calm, and Warm. A Desi voices section also lists Aakash, Vikram, Vikrant, Krishna Gupta, and Kali Devi, with narration, educational, and social media labels.

Which model should I use for Hindi?

Use Multilingual v2 or Flash v2.5 for a plain Hindi job, and Eleven v3 or Eleven v4 for a Hindi job that needs bracketed audio tags. Hindi, coded hi, is in the 29-language Multilingual v2 list and in the 32-language Flash v2.5 list from the 5 Nov 2026 model check, so Hindi is the exception in this set.

How do I write a Hindi script that sounds natural?

Write in Devanagari script, keep sentences short, and spell out numbers that matter. Use punctuation to mark pauses, read the script aloud once before generating, and generate in sections so a weak section can be regenerated without paying for the whole script again.

Is Hindi text to speech free on ElevenLabs?

Yes, up to the Free plan limit. The Free plan costs $0 and includes 10,000 credits a month (checked 5 Nov 2026), which covers short Hindi tests and video scripts. Longer or regular Hindi work needs a paid plan, starting with Starter at $6 per month after a $1 first month.

Can I use Hindi audio for commercial YouTube videos?

Yes, on paid plans. Starter and higher plans include a commercial licence, so Hindi video narration, audiobooks, and ads made on those plans can be published commercially. The Free plan is for testing, so move to Starter before publishing monetised Hindi content.

Why does a Hindi voice sound good on one script and weak on another?

Because style labels describe a voice, not a guarantee for every topic. A punchy reel voice can sound wrong on a slow lesson, and a calm narration voice can sound flat on a lively ad. Test each candidate on the same paragraph from your own script, and keep a voice log so a winning combination can be repeated.
