ElevenLabs Microsoft Teams has no built-in connector. You connect an agent through a widget tab, a Graph calling bot, or Azure Communication Services. The widget tab is the fastest route for most teams. Agent calls are billed per minute on your plan, from $0.15 per minute for phone minutes (checked 6 Nov 2026).
Best for: Teams that want an AI agent answering calls or sitting in a tab, with a named agent users can reach without leaving Microsoft Teams.
Not for: Teams that need a native Teams app with one-click install — there is no built-in connector, and every route needs setup.
Starting price: Free $0 (10,000 credits, 15 agent minutes) (checked 6 Nov 2026) to try; paid plans from $6/mo (Starter, 30,000 credits, 75 agent minutes). The $1 first-month Starter offer was shown until 8 Nov when checked on 6 Nov 2026.
Does ElevenLabs work with Microsoft Teams?
Yes, but not through a built-in connector. The official ElevenLabs docs page for Microsoft Teams says: “Microsoft Teams has no built-in ElevenAgents connector. How you make an ElevenLabs agent reachable in Teams depends on how users should reach it.” That sentence is the whole answer: you pick the route that matches how your team uses Teams, and you connect the agent yourself.
The agent itself is built in the ElevenLabs agents platform, the same way it is built for the web or the phone. The agents guide explains how to build one in about 5 minutes, with 90+ languages and 10,000+ voices. Once the agent exists, the Teams connection is a deployment step, not a new agent — the same voice, reasoning and knowledge work in Teams, on the web and on the phone.
The 3 ways to connect an agent in Teams
The official docs page lists three routes. Each one puts the same agent in front of Teams users in a different place, so pick the route that matches how your team already uses Teams.
1. Widget tab
Embed the agent widget in a Teams tab. Users open the tab and talk or type with the agent inside Teams, the same way they would on a website. This is the fastest route: no phone numbers, no Azure setup, and the agent is visible where the team already works. Best for support and sales teams that want a help tab in a channel.
2. Graph calling bot
Call or chat with the agent by name inside Teams. The agent appears as a bot the team can call, so users reach it the way they reach a colleague. Best for teams that want the agent available in calls rather than in a tab.
3. Azure Communication Services
Two ways sit under this route. Calling Plan dial-in lets users phone the agent from a regular number, and Teams Phone fronting puts the agent behind a Teams phone number. Both need an Azure Communication Services setup, so this route takes more work than the widget tab. Best for companies that already run Teams Phone and want the agent on their phone system.
A fourth route exists outside the docs page. ElevenLabs published a blog on 6 Nov 2024, “How to use Conversational AI with Microsoft Teams”, which builds the connection with the Make workflow builder. It suits teams that already use Make and want to wire Teams to the agent without Azure work. The three docs routes above are the ones ElevenLabs documents today.
How to set up the widget tab
Six steps take you from a new agent to a working tab. Each step below names the cost before you pay it, so you know where agent minutes go.
- Build the agent first. Cost: no credits until the agent takes calls. Create the agent in the ElevenLabs agents platform: pick a voice, add a knowledge base, and write the system prompt. The system prompt guide shows how to write the agent’s instructions and what each call costs.
- Open the deployment settings. Cost: no credits. In the agents platform, open the agent’s deployment settings and choose the Microsoft Teams widget tab.
- Add the widget to a Teams tab. Cost: no credits. Follow the docs steps to embed the widget in a tab in the channel where the team works.
- Test the agent in Teams. Cost: agent minutes for the test calls. Talk and type with the agent in the tab, and check that it answers with the right voice and knowledge.
- Set the handoff rules. Cost: no credits. Decide when the agent escalates to a human — for example, on a payment dispute or an angry customer.
- Publish and watch the transcripts. Cost: agent minutes per call. Turn the tab on, then review the conversation transcripts in the agents platform.
Which route should you pick?
| Route | Setup effort | Best for | Needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Widget tab | Low | Support and sales tabs in a channel | An agent and a Teams tab |
| Graph calling bot | Medium | Calling the agent by name | Bot registration in Teams |
| Azure Communication Services | High | Teams Phone and dial-in | Azure setup and a phone number |
| Make workflow | Medium | Teams that already use Make | A Make account and the blog steps |
Start with the widget tab unless you have a clear reason not to. It is the only route that needs no phone numbers and no Azure work. The same agent works on WhatsApp too — the WhatsApp integration guide shows the same agent answering customers on another channel.
What does it cost?
The Teams connection itself is a channel, not a separate product, so it runs on the standard ElevenLabs plans. Agent minutes are the currency that matters: every minute the agent spends on a call uses one of the plan’s included agent minutes. The table below uses the plan numbers checked on 6 Nov 2026.
| Plan | Price | Agent minutes per month | TTS credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 (checked 6 Nov 2026) | 15 | 10,000 |
| Starter | $6/mo (checked 6 Nov 2026) | 75 | 30,000 |
| Creator | $22/mo (checked 6 Nov 2026) | 275 | 121,000 |
| Pro | $99/mo (checked 6 Nov 2026) | 1,238 | 600,000 |
The $1 first-month Starter offer was shown until 8 Nov when checked on 6 Nov 2026. When the included minutes run out, overage is $0.08 a minute (checked 6 Nov 2026). On top of the agent minutes, each call also pays for the language model it uses: GPT-4.1-mini costs $0.02/min, GPT-4.1 costs $0.05/min, Claude Sonnet 4.5 costs $0.06/min, and Gemini 2.5 Pro costs $0.50/min (checked 6 Nov 2026). The conversational AI guide breaks the same numbers down plan by plan, and the full plan comparison shows the yearly prices and the Scale and Business tiers.
What the agent can and cannot do in Teams
In a Teams tab, the agent answers questions from its knowledge base, looks up records with connected tools, and books appointments with a connected calendar. The agents integrations page lists 400+ pre-configured integrations, including calendars, CRMs and payment tools, so the agent can do real work instead of just answering. Calls run with sub-second latency and in 90+ languages.
What it cannot do: it cannot replace a human for disputes, it cannot see anything outside its knowledge base and connected tools, and it cannot join a Teams meeting as a participant unless the route you picked supports it. The quality of the answers depends on the setup — a thin knowledge base or weak guardrails gives thin or risky answers.
Pros
✓ One agent everywhere — the same voice and knowledge in Teams, on the web and on the phone.
✓ Three documented routes, so the setup matches how the team works.
✓ No phone numbers needed for the widget tab route.
✓ Transcripts and performance in one place.
✓ 90+ languages and 400+ integrations.
Cons
✗ No built-in connector — every route needs setup.
✗ Minutes add up: live calls consume agent minutes, and overage is $0.08 a minute.
✗ LLM costs sit on top of agent minutes.
✗ Setup is not fully documented for every route — the exact menu names are not stated on the official docs page.
✗ Quality depends on setup: a thin knowledge base gives thin answers.
Who should NOT use it
Skip the Teams connection if you only need narration — a text-to-speech tool is simpler and cheaper for one-way audio. Skip it too if your team has no one to maintain the agent’s knowledge base, or if you need a native Teams app with one-click install. In those cases, use the web widget on your own site, or wait for a native connector.
Frequently asked questions
Does ElevenLabs have a Microsoft Teams integration?
No built-in one. The official docs say Microsoft Teams has no built-in ElevenAgents connector. You connect an agent through a widget tab, a Graph calling bot, or Azure Communication Services, or through the Make workflow builder from the 6 Nov 2024 blog.
How do I add an ElevenLabs agent to a Teams tab?
Build the agent in the ElevenLabs agents platform, open its deployment settings, choose the Microsoft Teams widget tab, and embed the widget in a tab in the channel. Test it in Teams before you tell the team about it.
Can I call an ElevenLabs agent in Teams?
Yes, with the Graph calling bot route. The agent appears as a bot the team can call or chat with by name inside Teams. The widget tab route also lets users talk with the agent, but inside a tab rather than a call.
How much does it cost to run an agent in Teams?
It runs on the standard ElevenLabs plans. Free costs $0 with 10,000 credits and 15 agent minutes a month (checked 6 Nov 2026). Starter costs $6/mo (checked 6 Nov 2026) with 30,000 credits and 75 agent minutes, and overage is $0.08 a minute. Each call also pays for its language model.
Does the agent work in other languages in Teams?
Yes. ElevenLabs agents support 90+ languages, and the same agent works in Teams, on the web and on the phone. The voice and knowledge stay the same across channels.
Can the agent hand off to a human in Teams?
Yes, if you set the handoff rules. Decide when the agent escalates to a human — for example, on a payment dispute or an angry customer — and test the handoff before you publish the tab.
