Yes, Higgsfield works for startups, and the Team plan is the entry point for a small team. It costs $65 per seat per month on annual billing (checked 5 Nov 2026), includes 5,000 plan credits per month for a 5-seat team, and adds a 14-day unlimited period after business verification. Solo founders should start on a cheaper individual plan instead.
Best for: A 2- to 9-person startup team that makes product videos, ads, or social clips every week and wants shared credits, admin spend control, and SSO.
Not for: A solo founder, a team that makes one video a month, or a team that only needs still images.
Starting price: Team $65 per seat per month on annual billing (checked 5 Nov 2026) — see the full plan comparison.
What Higgsfield for Startups actually means
Higgsfield does not sell a plan with the word startup in its name. The individual side of the pricing page lists Starter, Plus, and Ultra for one person, and the business side lists Team, Scale, and Enterprise for a company. A startup therefore picks from the same two lists as everyone else, and the right choice depends on headcount and weekly video volume, not on the word startup. I read the Starter, Plus, and Ultra set (US) on the official pricing page on 5 Nov 2026, and the business prices below come from the same page on the same date.
Team is the business entry point. It covers 2 to 9 members in a shared workspace, with 5,000 plan credits per month, which the page breaks down as 1,000 credits per seat. Each extra seat adds 400 bonus credits, up to 1,200 bonus credits in total, and those bonus credits expire after 30 days. Team also adds admin spend control, SSO, delegated top-up, basic analytics, priority support, indemnification, and a promise of no training on your data. The page notes that SOC 2 is coming soon for Team, and that prices exclude VAT.
Scale is the next step up, for 5 to 15 members. It costs $150 per seat per month on annual billing (checked 5 Nov 2026) and includes 12,500 plan credits per month, or 2,500 credits per seat, plus 1,250 bonus credits per extra seat. Scale adds detailed analytics and basic SSO. Enterprise is custom pricing, with custom credits, unlimited seats, custom SSO, SOC 2-aligned controls, and volume discounts. A startup that needs more than 15 seats, a custom contract, or a HIPAA-style control set belongs on Enterprise, not on Team or Scale.
How much a startup team pays
The table below uses the prices I read on the official Higgsfield pricing page on 5 Nov 2026. Individual prices are the Starter, Plus, and Ultra set (US). Business prices are annual billing, shown on the same page as $79 reduced to $65 per seat for Team and $215 reduced to $150 per seat for Scale.

What models a startup actually uses
A startup does not need every model on the pricing page. Most teams use three. Seedance 2.0 makes short clips at about 22 credits per 5 seconds at 720p, which is the model covered by the Team plan’s 14-day unlimited period. Nano Banana Pro makes product images at 2 credits per image, so a team can refresh a landing page or an ad creative for a few credits. Veo 3.1 sits at the top end at about 40 credits per 4 seconds at 720p, so it fits a hero video, not a daily clip. The plan picker on the pricing page also gives a rough guide of about 14 credits per video and 2 credits per image.
How a startup team sets up Higgsfield in 5 steps
Step 1 — Create the account and pick Team (0 credits). Sign up with the company email, choose the Business plans tab on the pricing page, and pick Team. The sign-in steps are the same as for any account, and our Higgsfield login guide covers the sign-in and access fixes if the team gets stuck at this point.
Step 2 — Complete business verification (0 credits). The 14-day unlimited period only starts after business verification, so do this before the team plans its first big batch. The unlimited period covers Seedance 2.0 at up to 15 seconds and 720p, plus unlimited Nano Banana Pro at 2K, Seedream 5.0 Pro at 2K, and Kling 3.0, according to the business pricing page.
Step 3 — Invite the team and set spend control (0 credits). Add 2 to 9 members to the shared workspace, turn on admin spend control, and set up SSO. The person who pays should set the spend limit on day one, because shared credits are spent by everyone in the workspace and there is no per-person cap stated on the pricing page.
Step 4 — Make the first batch (about 14 credits per video). Start with one product video in Seedance 2.0 at about 22 credits per 5 seconds at 720p, plus product images in Nano Banana Pro at 2 credits per image. A 5-second clip plus 5 images costs about 32 credits, so a 5,000-credit month covers roughly 150 clips of that size before any top-up.
Step 5 — Top up and review the month (cost varies). Use delegated top-up when the shared balance runs low, and remember that bonus credits expire after 30 days and that unused credits from the first month roll over on Team. Check the basic analytics at the end of the month: if the team used less than half of its 5,000 credits, a smaller plan would have been cheaper.
Team vs Scale vs buying individual plans
The math decides this, not the feature list. Two people on Starter pay $19 each, or $38 per month, for 540 credits between them. Two seats on Team pay $65 each, or $130 per month, for 5,000 plan credits plus the 14-day unlimited period. Team costs $92 more per month for two people, so it only pays off if the team uses the unlimited period hard or needs the shared workspace, SSO, and admin control.
Five people change the picture. Five Starter plans cost $95 per month for 1,350 credits. Five Plus plans cost $235 per month on annual billing ($47 each) for 6,000 credits. Five Team seats cost $325 per month for 5,000 plan credits plus up to 1,200 bonus credits. Plus is cheaper per credit than Team for five people, but it gives five separate accounts, no shared workspace, no SSO, and no unlimited period. A team that works together every day should pay the extra $90 over five Plus plans for the shared setup; a team of five people who each work alone should not.
Pros
• Shared workspace and shared credits, so one balance covers the whole team.
• 14-day unlimited period on Seedance 2.0 after business verification, plus unlimited Nano Banana Pro at 2K.
• Admin spend control, SSO, and delegated top-up for the person who pays.
• Indemnification and no training on your data, which matters for a company account.
• Priority support and basic analytics, so the team can see what the credits went to.
Cons
• Team costs more per month than the same number of Starter plans for a small team.
• Bonus credits expire after 30 days, so they do not carry into the next quarter.
• The 14-day unlimited period is short and limited to Seedance 2.0 at 720p and 15 seconds.
• Business verification is required before the unlimited period starts.
• Prices exclude VAT, so the invoice total is higher than the per-seat price shown.
Who should NOT use it
Team is the wrong plan for a solo founder, because a single Starter at $19 per month (checked 5 Nov 2026) does the same work for less. It is also wrong for a team that makes one video a month, a team that only needs still images, and a team that cannot complete business verification, because the unlimited period is the main thing Team adds over individual plans. A team in one of those groups should stay on Starter, Plus, or the Free plan at $0 (0 credits) and move up only when weekly video volume makes the shared balance necessary.
Frequently asked questions
Does Higgsfield have a startup discount?
No. The pricing page I read on 5 Nov 2026 lists Team, Scale, and Enterprise with no startup discount, and the only free access route it points to is Higgsfield for Good for students, professors, and nonprofits. Applications for that program were closed on 5 Nov 2026, so a startup cannot apply for it today. Our Higgsfield for Students guide explains the student route in full.
How many seats does the Team plan include?
Team covers 2 to 9 members in a shared workspace. The page lists 5,000 plan credits per month, or 1,000 credits per seat, and adds 400 bonus credits per extra seat, up to 1,200 bonus credits. Scale covers 5 to 15 members, with 12,500 plan credits per month, or 2,500 per seat. Enterprise has unlimited seats and custom credits.
What happens when the 14-day unlimited period ends?
The team goes back to paying with its plan credits. On Team that means the 5,000 monthly plan credits, plus any bonus credits that have not expired, and delegated top-up when the balance runs low. The unlimited models listed for the period, such as Seedance 2.0 at 720p, go back to their normal per-generation credit costs, so a team should plan its biggest batch inside the 14 days.
Can a startup use the Free plan?
Yes, the Free plan costs $0 (0 credits) and is listed on the pricing page for one person, with limited use of the platform. A startup can use it to try the editor and a few models, but 0 credits means the team cannot make paid-model video at any volume. The Free plan fits a test week, not a launch, and a team that ships every week should move to Starter at $19 per month (checked 5 Nov 2026) first.
Is the Team plan cheaper than 5 Starter plans?
No. Five Starter plans cost $95 per month for 1,350 credits, while five Team seats cost $325 per month for 5,000 plan credits plus up to 1,200 bonus credits. Team gives about 3.7 times the credits of five Starter plans, but it costs about 3.4 times as much. The extra money buys the shared workspace, SSO, admin spend control, and the 14-day unlimited period, not cheaper credits.
Does Higgsfield train on a startup’s data?
No, the business pricing page states no training on your data for Team, and the same line appears for Scale. That matters for a startup whose product shots, faces, and unreleased designs go through the tool. Our Is Higgsfield AI safe guide covers the wider trust and privacy picture, and our Higgsfield AI review gives the overall verdict on whether the tool is worth paying for.
